The emptiness is all consuming
I sense nothing but the coldness I have become
I see the pain, the joy, the love, the hate
I cannot touch it I cannot feel it
I cannot embrace it no matter how hard I try
And it seems I cannot remember it
Indifferent to these things I once knew
Apathetic to all that I once treasured
Do I live? Do I have existence even?
But I go on, I still walk forth
One thought empowers me
One that has no need of emotion
Within this I have purpose
I have meaning, I have life
Duty will see me through
