  When the sun is resting
And the world has become still
I venture forth into the world
And what a world the night is
In the night where every whisper
Can be heard as a shout
But yet still no louder than a whisper
In the night where every crack, every creek
Tells a story all of its own
I walk forth in the night
And it cloaks me and shields me
The world cannot see me
No one can judge me
And I find peace
But alas, I am only a traveler
I can only marvel at the night
Never understand, never be one with it
And so when the night is
Vanquished by the day
I am seen, I am judged
And I yearn for the peace
That only the night can bring me
