Psychic Vampirism -An individual that draws energy off others (generally emotional) to satisfy their own energetic needs/wants. Psychic vampirism ultimately demonstrates a poor capacity to manage personal energy resources, leads to reliance on external energy and leads to addiction.

we have all heard of the psychic vampire. Some of us have encountered those that are these beings. Some would even call themselves such. However there is still a lot of mystery about them.

There are a few individuals that draw energy into them unknowingly but that is a rare case and they are not to be construed as Psychic vampires. Most Psi-vamps are those that are very profficient in several forms of psychic attack more specifically Drain and Train forms. The effective ones have to be in order to pull off the kind activity that they do on a regular scale.

The specific attacks are directed at usually those of a high energic or emotive state. Small pickings are not desired as they are not worth the cost of the attack. Therefore victims are picked according to strength of energy and as well as access. The prime motive once again for Psychic Vampires is to feed off of the energy of the victim. This is not to say that there are not other motives but in the end the increasing need to feed is always there.

Now that is a huge aspect of Psychic vampirism. This growing need to feed more and more. Intense emotions bring those that are feeding off that a psychic rush or sorts. Just like a physical drug the more you do it the more there is a need for it. Unlike trained psychics that are doing work in this area who are detaching from the emotional state they are in. Psychic vampires are fully engrossed in the opponents emotions and feeding directly if they can from the source of them.

This need doesn't dissipate after feeding. The hunger continues and grows larger which the need to push it back grows harder. The frequency of the feeding then continues to advance. There are cases in high intensity psychic vampirism that the individual then has a very difficult time in associating to any emotions on its own. The need to experience emotion also becomes overpowering and the hunger is evolved to a need to feel as well as feed.

You can see how it escalates into a situation that is very hard to break and which enslaves rather than empowers. Psychic Vampires usually are those that have some degree of training in the psychic arts of course but have fallen from some initial path they were on. They have fallen because they seem to think they have found that preying on others emotions is an easier way to accumulate power rather than through the more difficult and intensifying advancement of psychic training.

Personally I find the aspect of psychic vampirism as a weak and cheap way to live. It is like digging through the dumpsters to eat not because you can't afford a better meal but because you like ease and dirty taste of used food. I find it disgusting and though there are some aspects of psychic vamprism that need to be understood and perhaps experienced in some manner going the full extent and solely becoming such a being I once again feel is a waste of time, energy, and potnential.
