It is one thing to understand you have choice but quite another to be able to choose one that you want. This would be something called freedom. Through freedom we find an ability to choose paths of which others who are denied this freedom cannot. The path to gain freedom is through a little something called power. With more power comes more choices or freedom to choose from. Thus those that traverse the Dark seek power of specific quantities to fulfill their needs, wants, and wishes.
In that there is no stop towards evolution unless one would wish to perish this ambition for more freedom comes again comes always at the price for needing more power. The two are tied forever to each other in yet another one of the Universe's laws of which the majority needn't bother agreeing with for simply it wouldn't matter if they didn't.
Darkness insists on breaking the enslavement that is placed upon it. It seeks to be it's own master serving it's own ends and agendas. Society functions however because it is able to unify and serve it's needs through the strengths that the majority clearly have. These majorities often see that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one. This directly shows that those that traverse the Dark path need a power in order to either work with the majority while keeping with their own ways, or have enough power to remove themselves from that influence altogether. Either way they have a lot of work to do to make sure that their needs are fulfilled.
We often see around our communities transients for which there is no real home for them. They come and go when they please. They do not work, they do not have responsibilities to attend themselves to. For some they would call this pure freedom. Once again let us explore this idea.
Without an income many of life's more worthwhile pursuits are inaccessible. If you like travelling you cannot go to some of the better spots in the world that money would allow you. For that matter food of course is always a problem, you cannot live well without eating properly. Medicines, and health care needs will not be taken care of. In that we loose some freedoms for the jobs that we have to have or the income that helps support us we still end up having the necessities for which these other individuals are sometimes denied or it is made very hard for them to get.
We can understand by this a principle that on some level we will forever be enslaved to something else. As Bob Dylan most elegantly stated your gonna have to serve somebody. That is not to mean that your masters shouldn't improve when you are granted that advanced power that you should be continually working for.
