Douglas Adams
Some Insist that this path is nothing but a selfish way to justify actions that the majority would see as immoral or incorrect. I see it as a way of using my ego to define my individuality and seek for more freedom from the encroaching enslavement of the Light.
Is it wrong for one to want the best for themselves and those they care about above the needs of others on the outside? Is it wrong to first have a defense for yourself before (if you so choose) you give aid to another? Is it wrong to think differently from the masses and not accept blindly what their doctrine insists is the only truth?
To a Dark Pather the answer is obviously no. In fact the questions asked are reasonable for anyone on any path to say no to. But it would seem that only when answered in the context of being a Dark Pather is there any contention with it from the majority.
It is our ego that allows us to Judge and insist that their way is not for us. That their ways are foolish and or outright wrong. Judgement in itself is a monument of Ego.
We sill judge according to our feelings, understanding, and or of course our biased preferences. The fruit of Good and Evil has not been forgotten we still remember the lessons learned. The fire that Prometheus gifted to us still burns with a ferocity in our hearts. It is our ego which enacts a responsibility in each one of us that aspires for self Godhood. Because we think we are and because we are we aspire to become the best.
