These attacks are very closely related. Usually they coincide with each other hence I will be writing on them both in one piece.

Advanced drain attacks include the practice of putting on links or bonds. This is done to slowly or quickly siphon off energy through a direct source. Most people know and call this activity as Psi-vampirism. The easiest way to do this is through a link however more basic ways can be practiced.

Drain attacks can be inflicted on people that are normally agitated and emotionally unstable. The attack is carried out just by escalating the victim into giving off more emotional responses than usual. A big part of this is just social manipulation and how effective the practitioner is at escalating the victim into these states. Whether it is talking about a squeamish subject, one that is very personally threatening, personally degrading, or even one that the victim is very passionate about.

Contrary to popular belief, Drain attacks are not always jst designed to take in emotions people don't like such as anger, hate, and fear. They can also be drawn to feed off of love, happiness, curiousity or any other emotion as well. The practictioner that needs to do this will usually have a flavor of emotion that he or she likes more than the rest and is able to swipe easy. Drain attacks also are not relagated to emotions. There are some practitioners that take energy that has no bearing on emotions. It takes from the physical energy that the victim has leaving them more tired than usual.

To drain attack without a link or bond you first must have probes attuned to the victim you wish. The probe can be visualised into a new construct this one allowing for energy to be recieved. some think of it like little suckers like on octupi, others as airholes able to recieve and transfer energy back to them.

The resonance of the victim again must be known and the victim must be in a state of emotional escalation. You should feel the vibes easily emanating from the victim where you can pick it all up through the visualised probes you have designed to absorb this energy.

Decent shielding would keep this type of attack to a minimum. Those that have no experience in shielding are very likely the prime targets of sucn predators. Those that do have decent shielding on would be the ones that the aspect linking to them would be necassary.

  Training.

  Now the reason I put thse two attacks together was not because they had the same needs with linking. but that training usually involves draining the victim and then putting in the energies that they wish for the victim to integrate into them.

to train effectively you need to be able to manipulate the energies of the victim as well as you can. This can include sucking out the energies that don't fit the agenda that you wish for them.

Once again advanced training insists on links, which then the operation ties into chaining. This can be done without the links though on a basic level on one of a few ways. Probing once again is a must. Knowing the resonance is also a necessity that cannot be ignored.

Using the constructs probes that you made into suckers or air holes this time you are using them to flood the victim with your own energies. Hoping that the victim will harmonise or ground themselves to the energies you are throwing out. At the same time the practicioner is taking all the excess emotion that is being thrown out that is undesireable in the working and absoribing it into his or herself.

Social manipulation is also a huge factor here. The practitioner must be able to control at least some of the victims environment in order to keep the victim focussed on the practicioners wants. The practicioner also must be able to keep as much of the energy that opooses its needs to train the victim away from it. In doing this you see that it takes a fair amount of power to keep people trained. The old addage of being bound to those you bind comes into my mind from that.
